OP...whoa...not staff but 289 deals posted and... only joined Oct 2023!? Is that what they make you do before landing a job at SD lol?

Anyway, I've seen this labeler pop up before for similar price. Labels themselves cost about twice as much as normal printer labels, and prints somewhat fuzzy, but worth it for convenience factor?

Edit: just price compared, a standard Brother label printer costs ~2x upfront BUT the labels themselves are much much cheaper, and no foreign app needed, so for that reason, I'm out.
Sorry I make you disappointed, but I post deals for hobby, not for a job. I know my posts get upvotes or downvotes, make somebody happy or sad, envy or jealous. I am always happy if somebody like the posts and make some worthy purchases, and I wouldn't get sad or angry if somebody don't like them. I think that is the hobby for.

Thanks for your info and support. Smilie
This is just one I stumbled on ($25): https://www.amazon.com/Brother-P-...B01GQHHYFE

And the compatible tape ($12, 26ftx4): https://www.amazon.com/Replacemen...B0B5SRW88J

The continuous tape available for this Phomemo printer gives you about half as much for twice the cost from quick math, so Brother is at least 4 times cheaper.

I'd also count on the Brother supplies being available longer than a smaller brand's.

apply for their job. its not fair that i see alot of so called slickdeals "deal posters" or even mods who dont know what they are doing.trying to misleading us as customers they made alot of money from referrals. sold $500 million to goldman sacs.

Slick deals was much better before they sold out. Most frontpage deals were 50% off and up, and lots of free deals with rebates also. For many years I didn't pay for oil changes when G-oil deals were around. Now you see many 10% off front pages so they can get paid from the retailers. But everyone sells out nowadays.

I was just looking at this the other day. The reviews say the app ask for weird permissions.

I strongly recommend not buying this brother huge beast too many batteries required, tape is expensive and just not something easy to setup, I have had this for several years still works but I am inclined to get rid of this massive label printer. I will try the tiny potable version.

I think the item and the responses from the OP scream shill unfortunately.

I agree. I have bought the bigger ones and they hardly ever get used because they are too big to leave in my backpack when I need one. If I know I'm going to need a labeler then I might bring the Brother ones or my Brady. I also don't like how the Brother labels waste a TON of material on the ends of the labels. Even if you turn the margins down and only manually feed it, there is still a ton of waste. I leave one of these small rechargeable ones in my backpack every day. The app(s) are easy to use and the labels are very easy to make with your phone (vs having to pound out what you want to type and figure out the various menus to get what you want on a regular label maker).

Actually, the tape for the Brother is much cheaper (at least 4x -- look at cost per length). I don't need to print custom photos or QR codes on the labels, just plain text. I think Phomemo is following the inkjet printer model and simply making their money off of consumables while selling the device cheap, which is fine, just not something I want.

I just purchased one today 12/23
The coupon was $4 not $8, making the final total after 2 discounts $16.62

Coupon shows as $8 for me, then code takes some more off bringing it to $12.62 before tax.

PSA the color you choose determines the Coupon amount. The color with the lowest price after discounts is green ($12.62)

I was curious about that and installed the apps that were mentioned in the reviews (Print Master and phomemo) and they both only needed Bluetooth permissions on iOS.

I need a label maker but don't like gadgets that depend on an app to work, especially if it's from a random company that I've never heard of before.

That would be true if pretty much ALL label printers didn't waste an obscene amount of tape after printing. Frown
