FYI these all die within a year. order 2 last year and both aren't working now.
Yes, this device keeps making a beeping sound and randomly stops recording. If you check the Amazon reviews, you'll find people experiencing similar issues. It's definitely a problematic unit that I would recommend avoiding. It's unfortunate that I didn't read the reviews before making the purchase. If anyone enjoys putting $70 in 🗑️, then go for it, and that's not even including the potential insurance and repair costs because the camera stopped recording during an accident. Smilie

That's a pretty broad brush you have there. Extrapolated to all units from your personal experience with 2?

Weird. Mine still works since I bought it 4 years ago and still on original sd card. I have only taken it out a handful times to update firmware but otherwise it has lasted 100k miles without issues in that 4 years and on the original SD card. If you had two fail in 1 year, I am more likely to say user error than manufacturer's fault. Maybe your sd card is at fault.

For real. I own another brand and the same thing happened to me. The device just refuses to turn on. They talk about how they have "super capacitors" on these dash cameras. It must be the fluctuation of hot/cold seasons that destroy them. I haven't purchased another unit since I'm not convinced there is any brand that is built to last.

What temperature range do you see year around max? What's the max heat and minimum cold you experience?

Bought this and the Vantrue S1Pro on BF. The Vantrue won for me because the app was better and the S1P was more intuitive for me. The A119 is still good, and a fair bit cheaper than the S1P, but ultimately, I had to send it back.

For perspective, neither are as good as my older Roav, but that had a Li battery start to swell after 5 years in the southern heat.

No no no. Don't pay more then $20 for a cam. My disposable webcam runs 8 hours a day in a delivery route six days a week. About 3 months now and still going.
"Than." Not "then."

I have a 129 and just read this one where it says not use the sandisk or you might get camera freezing... I have a sandisk and sometimes my camera freezes... for the money I think mine is a good cam so I'd trust this one. they're almost all the same. I saw a video where they compared like a dozen. the camera lens's are only made by a few places so they're almost all the same. then turned them on together and the startup sounds where even the same... I'd go for it, just don't get your hopes too high about what you want it for.

if you flag the video to be saved, it'll be gone before you know it. unless you record 24/7, don't expect it to catch stuff when you're not moving.

I've had this one for just over a year. Found it after an LTT video reviewing dashcams.

GPS speed seems accurate. Resolution is good enough to get readable license plate numbers.
I've had 0 problems with it so far.

I've had this dashcam for about 6 months. Works great. Was recently rear ended so going to probably pickup another one to cover my back also.
