By the way, porting out Boost requires calling them for the 6-digit porting PIN (not the 4-digit security PIN). Prepare to spend 30 min on the phone (holding time included). Account number (12 digits) comes from web account.

Another problem: My brother forgot to setup voicemail on his phone. So 45 days after activating the service we call into Boost to get voicemail enabled. Boost rep is giving me instructions that do not match the voicemail system prompts AT ALL. Finally the rep admits they are "switching to ATT towers" and thus they CANNOT enable voicemail for this phone number and SIM card. WTF!
Therefore I would not recommend Boost mobile to anyone for any reason, becuase the retail store staff is clueless as is the support staff.
* Don't port your # in to Boost. Always get a new #
* If you plan to use the service beyond 3 months, you can download their crappy Boost One app to watch videos and spin a roulette wheel every day. That will give you at least $10 credit towards your bill every month. It used to pay much better, but not any more.
* Some say you can buy several 3-month sims and simply activate them one-by-one, after the 3 months are up. No guarantees.
