what documentation did they provide that showed that you got the 800 trade in promotion? I have conflicting representatives telling me two different things.
I didn't provide them any documentation. The rep looked it up, found I was eligible and then processed the order while I was on the line. Sorry that isn't much help.

So...I was thinking of getting an iPhone 15 Pro and currently have an iPhone 13 Pro. What does the trade-in breakdown look like? Does the trade-in come in the form of monthly bill credits?
You will pay the original phone cost over 24 months and be refunded $33.33 every month you keep the line active.

Do you have any documentation that says you got 800 for your trade.

You are correct. I don't have anything staying I will get $800 for the trade, only what the rep said on the phone. I'll have to call tomorrow to verify the trade in will be $800.

Actually haven't thought too much on the trade in but if we can drop at a TMO store, then that would be best. And now that think on it, that's how I did my last EIP trade in so yes that's the route I will likely take.
Yup I did store drop in several times and promo kicked in right away. He said drop the phone to store when new device shipped or after you receive it

I did both deals this week.

Quick facts:

-The fair market value of the phone you are trading in is subtracted to the promotional trade value. Then the difference is divided by 24 months. This is what they will credit you monthly for 2 years. So if the phone you are getting is more than the promotional trade in value then you will pay the difference monthly. If the phone you are getting is less than the promotional trade in value, then you get extra credits monthly that will lower your bill.

Example: iPhone 15 Pro 128GB: $999.99
Promo Trade in Value: $830 (PTV)
Fair Market Value Galaxy S9: $40 (FMV)
$830 - $40 = $790/24 months = $32.91 per month credit.
$999.99/24 months = $41.66 per month cost of iPhone.
$41.66 - $32.91 = $8.75 per month charge for iPhone.
(Yes the amount is the total discount you can get not on top of the FMV)

-This works for old legacy plans as long as you were targeted for it. We are on a Simple Choice legacy plan (8 lines for $150). Per article it has something to do with SOC/BAN in your account.

-Originally only received the Apple/Samsung ($800 off) offer through text messages. But after speaking with Customer Care, I was able to figure out that we also qualified for the Pixel offer ($700 off)

-The $800 off offer for Samsung or Apple can only be redeemed 1x per account not per line.

-The $800 off offer also needs any WORKING phone trade in. We traded an old Galaxy S3 for an iPhone 15 pro. Yes they took it. Like the article states, the phone just needs to be crack free and turns on.

-The $700 off offer for Pixel can be redeemed up to 4x per account.

-The $700 off offer will take any device even if it's damaged. But it has to be on the list they provided in the article. For us, one of the devices we traded in was a Galaxy S9 that was not turning on any more. I only needed to provide the IMEI number which was on the back of the phone. So it worked out even when it didn't turn on.

-Offers started back on December 07, 2023. Not sure when they will stop running.

-Read the article. It has the list of the phones they take for the $700 Pixel deal and every other information you will need.
How do you know the offers works or not? I called 611 and they said I was eligible for the $700 pixel deal but when I try to upgrade my samsung A32, it just says "$250.00* Promotional value". Did you do it online and did it actually deduct the $700 via monthly credits? Just looking to verify my account is actually eligible because I have zero trust in sales reps.

You're best bet is to call Customer Care or T Force. They'll tell you if you're eligible or not. And if they go order it then and there.

You're on a recorded line... If they said something it's recorded

Be careful with T-Mobile, a couple years ago they offered me the same deal, I took it, and I had to wait 2 months and 300 calls to them to get my credit on my bill, for them you never used the $800 promo deal, cuz it never "appears" on their system, so you have to talk with 10 managers and spend 100 hours on the phone. Best way is doing it directly to a store.

Even if a phone rep said I'm eligible. I'm too scare to try it. I think the phone reps may lie or make a mistake when I order over the phone.
Same here. On Magenta Max. I wound up getting my IPhone at the Apple Store. $ 325 trade in on my 13 mini. The corporate rep told me I was eligible if I switched to Go 5 plus. An extra $ 5 per line for my two lines but too many people are subsequently disqualified.

Get T Force off Twitter. I used it once. Quick response. But still.

I was told that I don't qualify on Twitter. Then I tried through their app chat and I was able to get the rep to order. I asked a few times and the rep even confirmed the worth of my trade in and said that remainder comes via credit.

I am still doubtful if I'm qualified or not.

Is there a way to check once we put the order?
