What they don't tell you is that after 20 gig you get throttled heavily almost like you're on 2G again it's not worth it if you like to watch videos or do anything on your mobile phone that requires a lot of data

If there is a way to make them stop harassing me with fliers, mail marked as urgent and leaving voicemails about urgent matter of a discount on my non-"existing" connection, that will be great.

I have finally reached that point in my life. Every year Spectrum would increase home internet prices $5-$10 a month, for what I don't know. 18 months ago I switched to T-Mobile Home Internet for $50 a month forever guaranteed. Best thing I ever did. I think now it's at least $85 a month according to a daughter of mine. Highway robbery for sure.

Would love that but T Mobile is terrible in my neighborhood

Congrats! We just got fiber here and dumped them as well. Good riddance to their endless junk mail (hopefully) and non-stop gameplaying with their prices.

Anyone that gets in on this deal, mark your calendars, this is a 12 month promo rate!

Buy a 5g modem and get a phone Sim card (I use T-Mobile). These devices show up as phones on the network and thus get data like a phone. Learned about this method from the remote worker RV people on youtube.

I use this one, getting 150mb+ speeds even after going over the data cap on my Sim card since it's 5g. The 4g modems which are around $100 slow to 3-5mb speed after the data cap. Look into it and break free. I was able to add another line to my plan for $15/mo
The modem pays for itself and it's a router, though you can connect it to your existing router if you like.

Correct, I did this deal probably almost 6 months ago now, and I don't believe it was brand new even when I decided to do it

Just did this switching from ATT so far much faster 5G in my area and most places I visit that used to be spotty are solid, switching is easy via their website or app both my business and home uses spectrum for years with ultra fast connection.

Personally I think ATT is over charging for lesser performance.

Yes they do a lot of marketing spam but would just get filtered out by my gmail. For snail mail not really an issue.

We have been this deal with their home internet for a little over a year in North Carolina. Here is our experience -
  • Home Internet - frequent connection issues
  • Cell service - Through Verizon but very poor in our area and Now we are thinking of switching to something else.
It's a good deal if it works for you.

Edit: They are also offering a one-year free router along with home internet.

What a trash post. They've been promoting this with hundreds of millions in ad spend on National Tv all year long. Why is this being pumped on slickdeals?

Can you please clarify? So this GL-router device allows use a cell network service by inserting the sim card with a active number and setup a wireless network in home/RV and connect other devices such as Appletv/roku to the wireless network basically cutting Fios/Cable services. is this how this works?
