Hoarding and flipping deals isn't the nicest thing to do and definitely not something to brag about. Take what you need and leave something for your fellow slickdealers.

I've seen these used as a shoe / boot sole scrapper before entering a home.

I did something similar with a tennis ball. Just wondering, what is "bird shot"?
Birdshot is a shotgun shell full of shot that's similar in size to .177 caliber steel BBs.

Many people do that same thing with a old tennis ball.
Another way is to mark the side walls and match side mirrors to that. I use that as reference in my car. No hanging balls or something to trip over on garage floor.

Honest question:

When people say "stocking stuffer" doesn't that imply for children? Isn't the practice of hanging stockings done by children?

So you are gifting these to kids that drive?
No, it just means smaller / extra gifts, that aren't the bigger or main presents, for anyone in your family or home. Stocking stuffers usually should fit into a stocking, but not always; it's more of a term now for less expensive gifts.

Also, i think it's common now for every adult and child to each have a stocking, and of course one for each beloved pet 🐕 🐈

Corner lot at . . at a 4-way stop intersection . . next to an elementary school (bought 35 yrs ago - Who knew - I didn't). School has grown 10x size (Do Not buy a home in Fla next to a school). To many A..H...e 'parents?' think my drive is a short cut around crossing guard when she stops traffic as a way to 'cut the line'. Parent drivers hate me (good), crossing guard luv's me, kids (are kids) and have no idea what is going on (bless them). Tried various methods to keep the cars out of my driveway.
Hope installing these across my drive will keep cars from endangering the children who use my driveway, to avoid the 4-way corner and traffic, within my property lines (yea, sucky legal stuff) will help keep cars out. Worth trying.
Thank you, ScottB2669.
Oh, gonna put in front of driveway screen porch and brick flower boxes to keep me from backing into them. (Yea, in case you haven't figured it out yet - 2015 Chev Malibu withOut a cam. Yes, lots of bumper touch ups.)
I have said my peace. Hope it works for me. Let us Slicker's know

That's a lot of effort to save a couple bucks amortized over the life of the car. I bought these a regular price last year when I bought a SUV that barely fits in my garage. Do not miss the $8 or whatever they cost. I just drive in and when I hit the block I'm good, no need to have to eyeball a line on the wall, esp. if I come home late and very tired. I've never tripped on them or even almost tripped on them.

I use three colored stickers (red, green, and yellow to denote where exactly you park). These stickers were pasted on the wall parallel to the car and when you look at the passenger side mirror during parking, which should align with the green sticker, it means you safely parked (both front and back) and if you align your car with the red - you are very close to the front wall.
