It seems like a lot of people aren't aware so I figured it's worth mentioning.

It has the most customizations of any launcher. For close family like grandma, I can custom tailor it to their special needs, restrict/hide settings and apps they don't need and then lock the launcher layout so they don't accidenly mess everything up. NovaLauncher widgets have some pretty advanced functions. Definitely fiddle with them if you haven't.

Came here to relay the same. I've moved on to iPhone, but this was a great, fast launcher but with the recent privacy concerns and overall improvements in architecture, I don't really see a need.
Being able to make an informed decision is a good thing.

My mom has the bad habit of dramatically swiping everything, instead of tapping, and used to end up with a hot mess of a home screen, with half of her apps either removed or accidentally uninstalled, if not just moved all over the place. Being able to lock down the home screen (icons & widgets) with Nova has prevented sooo many "my Facebook is gone and I didn't do it" phone calls, that Nova is worth it, even if I would have had to pay for that feature. Being able to see the same home screen across manufacturers/models really helps those who have trouble with tech adjust to getting new phones.
And it cuts down on new phone setup time, for me.

Over the years I've evolved my own gestures and phone navigation. It would suck to have to relearn a normal launcher.
Seriously, give stock a try if you haven't recently.

Issue is that apps won't display properly after launching, and you've got to go back to the home screen and try again.
