Its a deal because the batteries are like 500$ msrp. The mower is plagued with battery overheating problems

I bought one, used it once, and immediately returned it. I have never a worse experience with a tool in my life. Like you I own nearly every tool in the Dewalt 20V lineup but absolutely hated this thing.

Mower is not great to be honest. I bought earlier this year at 450. No regrets at that price as I sold the batteries to offset the cost and basically got the mower for free. My 8 year old craftsman does a better job.

All stores are closed, and won't open til Tuesday.

Can only hope brickseek is accurate, if I'm going to head out on a wild goose chase and be there when the store opens at 6am.
