Yes, we all know it's more expensive to order through Uber/Doordash/Grubhub. But Uber frequently gives out 40% off coupons which usually make up for that + any tips.

Does this work with the Amex Plat monthly uber cash? Does it take the Amex Uber cash first and then the uber cash from this GC?

these Uber giftcards only work on travel within US Uber. I don't expect them to work overseas like asia or europe but didn't know it wouldnt work in Canada Uber rides.

Why would you expect it to work outside of the U.S. when the amount you paid is in USD. There is no currency conversion built into the app. I was able to use credit card payment when I was in Asia. The charge was in local currency and the credit card company converted it to USD

Yeah I learned that hard way too , even the Amex monthly $10/cash doesn't show up BUT Uber recently started the currency changer in app on December 12 that now you can designate USD pricing even in Europe.

I'm just not sure if that would let you use the US Uber gift cards even if they charge 1.5% fee
