Yes, we all know it's more expensive to order through Uber/Doordash/Grubhub. But Uber frequently gives out 40% off coupons which usually make up for that + any tips.

This is not entirely correct.

Gift cards and balances also work in Panama, Ecuador and every other country with US Dollar as a currency.

I personally verified it.

Countries that use US Dollar as their national currency are:

Ecuador, El Salvador, Zimbabwe, The British Virgin Islands, The Turks and Caicos, Timor and Leste, Bonaire, Micronesia, Palau, Marshall Islands, and Panama.

It would have worked in Bahamas as well, as the bills are charged in dollars and they don't trigger foreign transaction fees on credit cards. But there's no Uber in Bahamas at the moment.

I think it's effectively not stacking, since you can't choose how much of a gift card to use.

i take uber when i am traveling outside the US like canada and in Asia so these giftcards I paid for $80 with costco never helped me. wish it worked at all countries where uber is present

FYI: I ordered earlier this morning and haven't received the redeem email, even the order status showed as "email sent". I called BB and was told that it could take up to 48 hours. YMMV.

Does these code just apply into your uber account like amazon GC?
And then you have some credit that you could use for US trips?

The most recently expiring credits get used first. For example you load $100 into Uber Cash last month, then receive the $15 monthly American Express Platinum benefit on the first of the month, and take a $10 ride on the second of the month, you'll have $105 Uber Cash with $5 expiring in 29 days or so.

What do you mean by stack? You can only choose Uber Cash (with a backup payment for any residual amount in excess of the Uber balance) or another form of payment as a whole.
