It was a good deal before, but that's very impressive. My finger is nearing the trigger.

What do I need to know about this "Zip" trash? I've never used it before but I have used Newegg + Paypal.

Zip divides the purchase into four payments. Repayment then follows an installment fee schedule (vs. interest) of $1 to $7.50. According to NerdWallet, they charge $2 for payment rescheduling and $7 for late payments (which is less than many of their competitors). Some reviews say they're really quick to send people to collections 😬. Whether this is a good option will vary by individual spending habits and credit history.

Looks like 90 days. It was $279 w/2 year, around black friday. Grabbed one for my daughter, direct from Acer/ebay.

For those who are interested in converting this machine into Windows, only Windows 11 is supported, not Windows 10. JFYI. Not a big deal though as I think Win 11 is better.

Overall the installation will require some steps that will mean you will need to open the back of the laptop. According to https://coolstar.org/chromebook/w...stall.html. Will require bridging the write protection jumpers. Also some drivers are paid which means your cost goes up.

I don't think this comes with any warranty and the sellers reviews mention a lot DOA "refurbs" and little communication from the sellers. It seems like too much of a gamble to save some money.
