Get new, or used, but get one, especially if you have a gas stove. Particulate pollution kills.

I dont know if this is typical, but I have two new and one refurb. The refurb is noticeably louder than the ones I bought new.

I bought this refurbished a few years ago. The WiFi feature stopped working after two weeks. They did not respond to multiple warranty inquiries. Would recommend to buy new with warranty from Costco.

I bought 7 refurb. 2 had to be sent back due to wifi issue and loud noise. After 5 months, 4 still going strong and 1 making a little ticking noise.

Would this help stuffy noses? Went to FL for vacation, nose was nice and clear. Come back home, stuffed up again.

Fun fact (discovered by my son)...if you fart on this the air quality detector will immediately turn color. Unfortunately it's devolved into a competition between the boys to see how long they can turn it red before it eventually goes back blue. Current record is 18 minutes 38 seconds.

If you are in a low humidity area that could be the issue and the filter won't help. It could also be allergies to the particular allergens in your area, in which case the filter will help.
