Maybe "Garage Ready" in the south. In the winter it gets MUCH colder than 38 degrees in much of the country.

This is a true "garage ready" refrigerator for anyone who's interested...I know people ask about this a lot. The price seems slick to me as well.

Bought on BF. Impressed so far. Door was easy to switch, everything seems solid, and it is quiet. Not fancy but it does its job and looks ok

I thought garage fridges were always yellow and still worked great. Looks like a good deal though

What happens if it goes under 38 degrees? No permanent damage, just thinks it's colder inside because of low ambient temp and won't cool inside, right?

If so, that's good enough for most people. Can't say I've taken a temp in my uninsulated garage but 38 seems pretty reasonable for a low temp.

I've been eyeing one of these, but my southern California garage likely exceeds 110 degrees so not sure if that would mess it up.

$700 plus tax if you include hauling away an old one and the 5 year warranty - believe that's 5 years after the manufacturer's one year, so 6 years total. That's not bad.

Edit: For those not aware. The Lowe's return policy for appliances is 48 hours to initiate the return. My Lowe's was pretty good about my return of a fridge. The same model two times damaged.

I'm not sure what will happen if the compressor gets too cold or too hot and I'm sure they have some extra tolerance's on this. Before I dropped $500 on this I would find out. My two cents.
