Our local Walgreen would put those behind the counter for the employees to buy....Its ridiculous how many deals sit back behind the photo counter for them.

Do people actually eat these? I just assumed there was only a few cakes that just keep getting passed around each year to casual acquaintances

Years ago I worked in a warehouse and I remember shipping these out to the stores for months right before the holidays. They looked really good, and I one time I picked one up in the store to try it.

They aren't awful, but it's basically just bread with chocolate chips. It was very dry. I never bought another.

I have bought them a few times over the years. It wasn't bad. Airly lighter bread with chocolate chips for a little sweetness. Not too sweet which I like.

Green Oaks & New York location in Arlington, TX, have marked them down to 38cents and the big ones down to $2.39. I didn't want to take all, so there are more than a dozen of the small & 4 of the large ones left on the shelves as of 11am central time.
