what are you buying if not the ability to file it?
also does this come with a download code (emailed or wait for physical box?) or do you need a cd drive to use it?
Does this site allow import download from the major brokerages like turbo tax does? Can I import my tax documents from those sites for stocks etc? Or is this a simple web based tax website. I like turbo tax, because it's so easy with the prompts and questions. It also has a knowledge base that's pretty intuitive and you're able to import previous year returns as well.
Most computers don't come with disk drives nowadays, so you'll need to have access to one. You can copy all the files in the disk and put it in a folder within a USB flash drive, it's the easiest way to share. You can even compress (.zip/.rar/.7z) the folder and share it via file cloud sharing if needed.
Just remember that the activation code gets you 5 federal e-files. You only get 1 state download, I'm not sure if this is per installation since those I share with live in the same state. You have to pay extra to do a state e-file, which I do not do. Cheaper to just print and send it in myself, but that's your call.

You get one state software free to file your state return. You have to pay a filing fee, which I've always hated, if you want to file electronically. You can print and file your state return via the mail as an option and not pay the electronic filing fee. If I remember right, it was about $20-$25 to file the state electronically.
