What version should I get if I had stock transactions statement from trading company this year.
You'll need the Premier version.

Likely already pointed out in the thread-
The same deal is available for digital:

$44.99

Just select digital instead of physical disk.

That's what I saw, too, when I ordered mine (mine is a H&B version, btw). But after I paid, it shows an additional $10 discount (in addition to the $10 GC).
Sad. No dice for me. I placed the order and still showing $64.99.

Deluxe Desktop handles stock transaction downloads from brokerage accounts. You do not need premier desktop. Deluxe ONLINE is the version that doesnt handle stocks and you need Premier ONLINE for stock. Intuit does this on purpose to confuse people into spending more money on their software.

I started with deluxe last year but at some point (can't remember now) it wouldn't go any further. I had to upgrade to Premier version and pay the full amount since by the time I finished the software it was the last day to file.
They prompt you to upgrade, but you don't have to. I would really love to know what you weren't able to accomplish, because I had a lot of different scenarios that Deluxe handled very well.

Tried H&R and got stuck in a validation loop for a tax response that I've never seen before and the product wouldn't explain. Not gonna do that again.
Same here! So annoying. Had to paper file state and federal because of all H&R Block's issues.

I can't recall now. But it may have been rental deduction or depreciation that it wouldn't allow. I had to shell out $90 or $100 at the end because the cost of federal and state.
It wouldn't allow an incremental upgrade. I had gotten the deluxe version free from fidelity and, hence, decided to go with TurboTax in the first place (because it was free).

Deluxe is all that you need. There is confusion about this. I've been using Deluxe for several years now for all sorts of investment transactions and it handles everything situation I've had.

That's interesting because you can fill out that type of information in Deluxe. You may not get the guidance, but I haven't found their guidance too useful in the past.

Well I'm not sure what it was. It definitely had me upgrade and since I was using it for the first time it didn't have any past rental records, etc.

FYI if you have no rush credits, choose regular download version (without the gift card) and you can use them, it will come off as promotional balance. I had a lot so it made sense to me to do that vs a $10 gift card, paid 3.24 total.

For the 2023 version, You CANNOT use the software without registering it. This is a new feature that Turbotax added on this year, specifically so you can't share the software with other people.
Thanks for the info. After some reading, it seems like you can still "share", but you'll need to create a dummy Intuit account in order to register the software for use. It's stated that no tax data is recorded to the account, only the license usage will be. All the tax data will remain on your local computer.

Seems sketchy and a hassle, might consider alternatives now.

If you have less than $10 in credits wouldn't it make sense to go for the $10 Amazon GC instead?

I'm trying to get it to price for $55 AND use the credits but looks like that's not possible.

You cannot use the no rush credits on the gift card deal so you have to choose whether you want to pay less or the gift card.
