Good deal but a similar deal (maybe better depending on needs) is Joann's has the 32oz version available and you can use the 50% off coupon making it $16.49. It's to the "High gloss" version but if you know what you are doing and buffing properly, you can get the same gloss level.

50% off code : LIGHTS

https://www.joann.com/alumilite-3...50615.html

NOTE: The "High Gloss" and "regular" products may actually be the same thing with just updated packaging. Even the manufacturer's website inter-mixes the two sets of packaging

Unless you're adding colorant or dye, highly suggest getting UV stablized resin kits to avoid yellowing, even for indoor applications. I've got some items my aunt embedded in resin, and we took them off the shelf in the living room and placed in long term storage to slow down the yellowing.

Excellent find. Thanks for the tip. I think I'll grab one of the 32oz from Joann as well. Looks like the exact same stuff. I've been wanting to try a river style cutting board. I already have some mica powder, so I'll be set for a few projects.

EDIT: No stores near me have stock on hand and shipping is $10 so it kinda kills the value unless I pad my order with another $60 to get free shipping. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Thanks. Got one of the 32oz for $17. Going to try and get another to protect an aging concrete countertop.

How thick can you go with this kind of epoxy? Im sure this is fine if you are using over wood, or black/dark colors.

Can you do full epoxy items with this?

This one can be cast upto 3/8". However there are deep pour versions for bigger river tables etc. This is not it.

This is fine if you just need a small amount, but you can buy several brands of epoxy in gallon sizes on amazon for under $70. Sometimes much less- I see some brands I'm not familiar with on sale in the $40 per gallon range (half gallon of each component of the 1:1 mix).

3/8 inch per pour, but you can build up multiple 3/8 inch layers.

Anyone know if I can use this to seal cinder block? I have a small area that DryLoc won't seal. It's not under pressure, just seeping.
