The picture shows the outside as a blue color but the description states the color is black matte. Williamson Sonoma is selling one that is matte black and it is all black.

A really good deal. I chose the oval/gratin shape instead from this sale and can't find a "visual imperfection" of any sort.

A lot of the time companies will justify the lower price by saying open box or some sort of damage, but they are nearly if not just identical to new. This is to protect their everyday MSRP. Maybe they are actually damaged a bit, but more likely they are excess inventory.

Of course they are excess inventory and not damaged. Each "undamaged" pan also arrives with a complimentary set of Zwilling knives and a personal letter from their CEO to thank you for saving them from that pesky excess inventory.

No, I don't think they come whith anything extra. The letter might be nice though. I would frame mine and pass it down as an heirloom.

Many in the Staub groups online have said they have received discoloration and chips in the dutch ovens and other enameled products while ordering visual imperfections products, and note all of these can not be returned or refunded so you're stuck with it.

Yup, pass for me. Already kinda off with the blue pan picture instead of the matted black picture which they could of used https://www.zwilling.com/us/staub...323-0.html

not a warm fuzzy feeling with this in the wording

Received it today. It is brand new. Not a single blemish on it. Looks like these were overstocked and they are clearing them out under "visual imperfection". Very happy that I took a chance.

Just got mine in the mail. No visible flaws or repaired chips that I can see after washing. Got a good one.

It's matte black but with a glossy, dark aqua base. Pretty nice for a $75 gamble. Your mileage may vary.
