Cool. Go ahead and link the better deal you've found that's in the race, so to speak.

No offense intended. But I went back a year and found exactly zero Ryzen 7 5800X desktops posted for less than $1000. So this is literally the best price ever posted for this computer, by hundreds of dollars. To say it's not in the race is a bit off the mark, in my opinion. It's not the latest and greatest, but it's also not 2 grand.

Just googled this "rx 6700 xt equivalent to nvidia" and seems this one closes to RTX 3060 only... (no Ti)
My cheat sheet for graphics ranking is Tom's Hardware's Graphics Hierarchy Chart [tomshardware.com]. It shows RX 6700 XT being virtually equal to RTX 3070, RTX 4060 Ti (both 8GB and 16GB) and faster than RTX 3060 by 30%.

Is it an overkill for home office PC? My current machine has main components from 2015 and is unable to upgrade to win 11. It still runs win 10 perfectly unless there are two accounts logged in, which causes the 12G memory to overload. Instead of upgrading the memory from 12G to 16G, I think I'd better off with a newer machine. The requirement is really just win 11, QHD, wireless, 16G+ memory and don't have to upgrade for the next N years.

I have an Xbox and thus no need to game on PC. I actually rarely do anything other than internet. Can't believe it costs so much resources to run a windows these days

Plus side u can stream from your Xbox to the pc if u want 😂. If you don't have a need for discreet graphics then yes overkill

For what you are mentioning, a mini pc will fit all your needs very well for under $300 and save some space on your desk. Check out something like the Beelink SER5 which checks all your boxes.

This what it says under "Specs"

In the box:
  • MSI AEGIS ZS 5DS-263US Gaming Desktop, AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 3.8GHz, 16GB DDR4, 1TB M.2 SSD, AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB GDDR6, Wi-Fi 6, Win11Home
  • Power cable
  • MSI wired mouse and keyboard
It should have at least a keyboard

Woot is pretty good about making things right if what you get doesn't match the description. In this case, it plainly states that you'll get an MSI keyboard and mouse, under the specs tab and in the MSI specs link on the Woot product page. If you message them with this and mention replacement cost, they will likely issue a refund to cover a set. The MSI GK30 wired combo is $54.77 on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/MSI-Dedicated-Anti-Ghosting-Mechanical-GK30/dp/B07WKBMG9Z/ref=sr_1_3?keywords... [amazon.com]

But can be had for $41 new on eBay:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/235349359324?

Woot is slow to respond, but I think they'll hook you up within a few days if you start the complaint process.

I bought the 500 dollar Aegis system off Woot and received this one with a gigabyte 4070TI. The psu was a pos so I swapped that and added a liquid cpu cooler.one downside is the motherboard was DOA so I had to RMA that but it's a really nice PC after that. Oh and windows was reg to someone else, luckily I have spare keys.

Do these tiny boxes reliable? I don't want to run into issues that I can't find solution online, and have to rely on "warranty". I don't believe warranty worth more than a penny.

I posted this (and actually bought it) the other day. The video card seems a lot better based on user benchmarks, but user reviews say the AMD one is better. The Ryzen appears faster. Both systems seem find for 1440p games. I mostly wanted 12GB for AI stuff so it suited my needs for the price. Maybe its a wash, but it's hard for me (with my fairly limited knowledge) to know if this system posted is much better, especially given they are exactly the same price.

AFAIK Stable Diffusion mostly works much better on Nvidia cards, although there is an AMD fork of it now.

You're not going to get a definitive answer here, as there's always a war between people who live on reviews and those who actually use hardware. Also, keep in mind that there's no such thing as unbiased reviews anymore.

If one fits your needs better than the other, that's all you need to worry about.
