While I agree that soldered ram needs to die, not having an Ethernet port is just disappointing.
I guess if you already had a good dock or wanted to buy a nice dock to go with it, it might be a good deal.
The SSD is upgradeable though as there are 2 slots for m.2.

For day to day use, insisting on ethernet is not as necessary. But for gaming, the tiniest bit of lag could have a pretty severe effect on the game - and could mean the difference between a win and a loss. This being a gaming laptop, I can see why people would want it.
Personally, I use this laptop via wi-fi for Warzone and it works just fine for me.
But if people really want ethernet, a USB adapter is pretty cheap and wouldn't introduce hardly any lag - so I don't see how it's a deal-breaker.

I had an Alienware m15 R4 previous to this and the max RAM it supports is 32GB as well - and it has RAM slots. Likely due to a motherboard limitation.
That's what I meant by "maxed out".
Yes, there are other gaming laptops that support more RAM, but for whatever reason the thinner Alienware just doesn't support more - unless you go with the larger m-series that supports up to 64GB total.
To go higher than that 64GB you're usually looking at a desktop at that point.
But that's the trade off for such a slim and light-weight design.
