SD Mobile Site 500 Internal Server Error

Been having issues on my iPhone 14 Pro accessing the SD mobile site via Safari since just after Christmas. If I request the desktop version of the website, it works fine. Having this issue on both the cellular network and over WiFi and other phones.

3 times in the past couple of days.

Twice after I'd just completed logging in in mobile mode. This last time it still had logged me in. The first time I didn't think to check. Just closed down everything & restarted.

Just now I was leaving my "threads started" page. Clicked top right SD icon to go to front page. I was in Classic mode.

Android 11. Chrome browser.

This has been occurring over the last 3 days on almost all visits to this site using my phone, iPhone 15 latest update, safari.

Surprise there are no other reports.

I can't use the site with an iPhone, iPad Air, iPad mini, or MacBook Pro. Maybe it's an issue with Safari.

Yup, still happens to me randomly.

Hopefully the admins have been made aware and are planning a fix.

I could access the site for a few minutes on an iPhone this morning, then it stopped.

This issue has been going on for me for maybe 3 weeks off/on.

Prior to that, I've been accessing mobile web site via safari for almost 10 years without issue.

Came here looking for answers. I use Slickdeals daily. I get the internal server error for almost every link I click on. Even if I try to copy and paste to another page. It's made the app useless for me. iPhone 14 most current IOS

Been having the "500 internal server error" with safari on/off for the past 3-4 weeks. Works maybe once every 10 tries. Can't believe it hasn't been fixed yet.

I've been digging into the logs trying to determine where in our system this error is coming from. Can those of you experiencing the issue let me know if it only occurs on mobile web browsers? A screenshot of the error would also be helpful.

I'm having a hard time reproducing the issue, or finding those return codes in our access logs.

Thanks, I'm glad someone is trying to resolve. Gawd I don't want to go to Reddit.

I put the text in a post 6 days ago, 2-3 replies up. It was happening all this morning for me as well.

iPhone 15 pro, iOS 17.3.1, using safari. Mobile SD website.

Mobile website doesn't do images. I do mobile cause it's normally quick, fast, I'm in and out between work matters and family stuff and such.

Have you checked your load balancer, or had your hosting provider check it? Sometimes that nginx message shows up for me, sometimes it's the 503
