They are usually sold separately.

They got rid of all the USB-A ports, but they kept that proprietary power connector?
I know they're able to be powered via USB-C, I'm just complaining about the lack of A port.

It's their "MagSafe" across the surface line. Logi should make usb-c receiver but they'd just tell you to use Bluetooth

These suck. This is equivalent of the zune, phone and speaker for Microsoft. They will kill it off soon.

You did see the '9' after the model name, correct? And if you've seen an NFL game, they all use Surface devices. Despite sponsorship, they wouldn't use them if they sucked. Also, the Zune was awesome. 😎

I just got on of these for work to replace my laptop. I was skeptical but it's really pretty damn nice. Easier to integrate into am office setup than an iPad, much easier to tote around, and battery life much better than my old Dell. Just as easy to dock too.

I will say that the dock and the keyboard cover seem like necessary additions in my environment.

Costco had this model at the start of 2023 WITH the keyboard for $999 (at the time MS was selling this for $1.3k w/o a keyboard). It was a great deal and I'm glad I jumped on it.

Easy to swap out the storage for more with the flip of a magnet door and a single screw. Uses the same size SSD as the steamdeck. I swapped mine with a 1tb. Just download the windows image for the surface pro from MS, throw it on a USB c drive, and it's super easy to re-install windows on it already set up for the hybrid use.

I had an ipad pro 9.7 I needed to replace. I also wanted a PC I could use for work. This ticked all the boxes. Tablet mode, PC with full windows 11 that can run my custom work apps, nearly ZERO complaints. The only thing I wish was that the screen was a bit nicer. The resolution is great, but a standard LCD isn't the best with contrast when watching movies.

I'm hoping in the future they will make one of these with an OLED and Intel's brand new super efficient processors. But for now, this works great. Two thunderbolt ports too, so there's even an option to hook this up to a desktop GPU should you really want to.

I love the surface too. keyboard is definitely a must!

an update with the new Ultra line CPU would be good to extend the battery life.

Would have been better if you actually knew about that deal before writing this comment over here making it seem like this was available for cheaper before. It wasn't "this model"; Costco one was with an i5 processor and comparatively weaker Iris Xe Graphics (80 EUs).

The surface pro has been great since the pro 6 version that included an i-5 processor and usb-c. I have had that laptop for 4+ years and it is still amazing. It is the only laptop I have owned where I did not get the urge to upgrade after 2-3 years.

Great deal on the i7, trying to determine if I want to push work to upgrade me now to the SP9 or hold out for the new device later this year, currently on an SP5.

My personal SP3 i7 just died a few months ago. I would probably jump on this if I didn't just get an open box SLS for $500; yes I know very different devices
