TVs don't usually die because of the panel, that's why Sony is comfortable buying them from LG. LG TVs have some of the worst soldering in the industry. It's the capacitors and soldering that usually causes a TV not to turn on. That's where Sony is light years ahead of LG and Samsung simply because they pay more for better components and manufacturing processes
If you don't believe me, look up YouTube videos of people taking apart the main boards of their broken LG TVs, sticking them in the oven for 20 minutes to reflow the solder and it fixes them for a few months. I should know, every LG product I've had has died prematurely including 2 tvs that were poorly soldered.
I think this is the best price for a 65" X90L so far, right? Costco had it for $1000 with 3 year warranty but I'm not sure if they were shipping for free.
By the way, in "retail speak" NLP is "new low price" and implies a permanent reduction from the supplier to the retailer, but not necessarily all of Sony's retail customer's. I'll be keeping an eye out if there are more Sony deals.
I have the older A80J Prime Day deal from a year ago and it finally got a firmware update. Been a good TV but doesn't always get along with my Vizio 5.1 Soundbar.

I also have the older model Sony 65" and it also doesn't get along with my vizio 5.1 sometimes. Very minor though. I have a feeling it's the vizio soundbar. I have 3 and they all sound decent but have hiccups here and there

The ARC is pretty handy but I introduce a lot of streaming boxes and switches so I make things more complicated. Both my TCL 6 and A80J have HDCP hiccups
What's the best top of the line tv for semi bright living room. I don't game in living room. I watch mainly soccer/football and obviously Netflix and direct tv streams.

The constant switching back to tv speakers? Same here.

Since the A90J doesn't come in 77 inch, how does this compare? I have until January 31st to return the A90J.
C3 is better in all but low res upscaling
