My only 2 concerns with the A80L are the purple reflections and whites being a blue tint, not pure white.

Picked up a 55" A80L from costco about a month ago. Picture quality is great. Brightness is rather lacking tho. Meaning, if you plan to use it in a bright room this may not be the tv for you. Outside of the brightness, sound and pq are awesome.

I have no data to support, but I stick with Sony because I believe they have better quality control. I don't think I've ever had a Sony product die.
I am sure you know this anyway, LG makes the panel for Sony.

Yesterday I bought the A80CL 77 from our local Costco (central FL) for $1999. On the website they had
It $700 more expensive.
My local warehouse had the 65" X90L for $799.99 for about a month. It was a local pickup deal only and they don't PM their website.

Is that for SDR or HDR? I turn my X90L brightness down to 20. So I shouldn't have an issue with brightness in SDR on the X80L

Love my Sony XBR-65A8H in the family room.
Would like to replace my JVC 46" with the Sony 55" for the bedroom, but my JVC has such good sound. The JVC was one of the 1st 46 inches when 1080p came out and it still has a great picture.

Hello. I live in FL. Can you please share the specific location you purchased this from for that price. It's $2,699 in my local Costco.

TVs don't usually die because of the panel, that's why Sony is comfortable buying them from LG. LG TVs have some of the worst soldering in the industry. It's the capacitors and soldering that usually causes a TV not to turn on. That's where Sony is light years ahead of LG and Samsung simply because they pay more for better components and manufacturing processes

If you don't believe me, look up YouTube videos of people taking apart the main boards of their broken LG TVs, sticking them in the oven for 20 minutes to reflow the solder and it fixes them for a few months. I should know, every LG product I've had has died prematurely including 2 tvs that were poorly soldered.

Is the x90L considered a QLED?
Negative, the X90L is a still an LCD panel.
