Good bonus, but you better close your account after they pay your bonus, earns next to no interest after that point.

With 5.5% interest just in regular tradable treasuries, not worth the effort for me anyways to tie up $25K in another account for no guaranteed bonus.

Good point. Is there a way for me to adjust it after I have posted it? I just tried to figure it out on here. However, I wasn't able to do so. ( Sorry, I am new to slick deals.)

Please forgive me if I miscalculated this or did not consider it correctly;however, I went on to Nerdwallet and used their calculator close to the bottom of the page and tried to compare both amounts. Are you saying the T -Bills are better because of the tradable part or something else? Also, what term did you calculate for ( because I used 13 weeks.)

This is a good deal, the money only really needs to be tied up for 2 months, and returns 2.1% in that time, which equates to a 12.6% yearly return. You just need to not be complacent and pull the money out and close the account as soon as bonus is there.

T-bills have been good the last couple years, and all the people online can't help but mention them EVERY SINGLE TIME someone posts a bank bonus or CD. The main benefit is that you don't have to pay state or local taxes on the gains from a treasury, and if you buy them in your brokerage account, it's pretty easy to move the money in and out. This deal still beats the heck out of the return of a 8 week t-bill, even with the tax benefits. Last auction was for a 5.4% annual return which means you'd get a pathetic .9% return in the same 2 month period.

You get much better returns from stocks and no taxes till you sell.

It is actually tied up for 3 months plus, not 2 months (90 days plus the amount of time needed to open and close the account, which is not instant by the way). And that assumes you actually get the bonus. So it would be maybe 8% return, not 12.6% vs definitely 5.5% return in tradable treasuries and flexibility on being able to withdraw some of the money, if needed. Any google search indicates tons of people get denied the bonus for no real good reason. Say 3/4 (Yes, I'm just making that up for a purpose) of the people actually get the bonus, then your return is about the same. That said, if you like this deal, the $750 bonus at Chase Business account for $30K for 60 days is a better deal. Larger bonus, does tie up another $5K, but only 60 days instead of 90.
