Passmark 4,748. I've seen some with 12th gen i3s lately, at this price point, so I would not jump on this as a multi-tasker.
I've seen worse in entry-level laptops though. e.g. Mobile CPUs like N50.

I can't recall seeing any other Athalon-based laptop CPU deals in a very long time.
I realize this would be enough for some browsing, word processing and YouTube. Just not the best you will see for $300. Look at recent SD threads if you want to see for yourself. Staples has been having better value deals lately for $300.

Dual core (2c/4t) = AVOID

There are and have been better deals. Look for Ryzen 3 7320u (4c/8t), Ryzen 7520u (4c/8t), i3-1215u (8t), or Intel n305 (8t) as minimums for a much more enjoyable experience.

Nope. Three generation (4 year) old dual core processor.

Amazon isn't a good place for laptops. Way too many ways to be scammed if you don't know what you're looking for. Most, if not all of those laptops have been opened... That's why there are all those different ram configs are available.

You're welcome. There has been some solid advice posted earlier about avoiding dual core CPUs, along with several recommended CPUs. I would also add to the list avoiding a laptop with less than Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080) display and less than 256GB SDD, both of which are other strikes against this listing (17.3" HP Laptop).

Obviously, if you increase the budget, you can buy a laptop with a brighter screen, more powerful CPU, more RAM, dedicated graphics, USB-C charging, etc. Your call. Unless your daughter has specific needs or is a hardcore gamer, at this point a basic computer for school will probably get the job done.
