So the gist is, if you are buying enameled cast then it's very hard to beat the quality (there are a few other manufacturers who are just as good but they are just as pricey). Anything else, especially stoneware, you can do much better on the wallet elsewhere.
Not saying this isn't a good pan (I have several Le Creuset cast iron pans) but I wouldn't spend that kind of money just for the name.

I'd say the point is that there is good quality stoneware made in China but without the Le Creuset upcharge. Heck even Staub (who is probably Le Creuset's biggest competitor in cast iron, and arguably equally as good) has a more attractive deal on stoneware made in China
