I do like the Series X don't get me wrong but I have a feeling nobody will want it down the road
Next console to buy: PS5 OG Digital Edition for $325
After researching the value proposition between the X and S, I definitely have learned more about myself: like I'm not hardcore gamer. Just casual. Idc for PC.
Internal storage of the S has never been an issue for me. past gen games storage size are very small amazingly and a lot of folks don't realize this. Quick resume works between these games. I'm stoked about this features.
Bought the S for $138 as a secondary console in bedroom paired with the 19" 1080p TV work is perfect. The X is overkill for my needs. The S is the best value for the $.
$300 was a great deal hence the "Buy now think later" motto here in SD LOL.
I do not really care for mainstreamed games. I don't play GP regularly and Dev mode. I previously bought my OG/360 digital games years ago from the 360 era.
I don't have 4k dvd. It would be nice admittedly but livable without.
My 8 year old living room TV is 4k HDR and still works great but it does not have 120hz. To take advantage of the 120hz I gotta upgrade my TV…yeah no thanks. That is not slick deal lol.
The experience of the S is still the identical compared to the X. Same result on BC games. Again making the X overkill for my pleasure.
If I do ever want to play games on the primary console it has to have the right specs to pair well with my TV in the living room. This is what missing for me.
Because I don't have PS5 and I want the best of both worlds, along with the PS4/PS5 for game exclusivity, it just makes sense for me to not get the X altogether.
I tried really hard to enjoy my current PS4 OG but dang it is old and tiring aka anemic. the loading time and download speed are testing my patience lol. The Series S beat that out.
I truly believe the PS5 digital edition is the best primary console for my use case.
