no numeric keypad, only 512 gb of storage at this price point makes this a bad deal imho

I think the high price point is due to the display, 240hz. Also, I would rather replace the manufacturer made ssd with something better. Can get a WD 2TB for $110.

Also, unless you are doing heavy data entry, I think it is not a deal breaker to not have a numpad

Exactly. Ssd is an easy upgrade. And USB numberpads exist. I wish it had one built-in as well, but not enough to sway my decision one way or another.

Note this has a 5% discount not mentioned.

Ryzen 9 regular Omen (not Transcend) was only $100 cheaper at BB, but it comes to a similar price after the discount and headset are factored in.

Imo this is a decent deal but i guess if it doesn't have the Dr's formatting it doesn't get popular. (Ease of understanding to the avg SD'er helps...)
