Bought this from direct jbl for $320 new. When they had the 90% coupon error. Even at $320 i dont recomended. Audio would go out of sync, disconection problem. Was to darn buggy. Switch to a samsung soundbar not a single problem

I sold it for $400. 3 months ago. Check my history. Been here since 2010. No need to be lying and loosing my credibility for this. Soundbard is not worth $600

I don't understand why negative experiences are voted down.
Long time members share personal firsthand experience and you TD them? It's at least as useful as the positive experience comments.

Purchased this for $800 a couple months back. Love the detachable surround sound speakers and the doblt atmos. Literally can place the wireless surround speakers anywhere. They attach to the main bar to recharge when not being used.

this is a VERY solid deal for just under $600,

This thing is horrible. When using earc screws up your tv, especially Sony tvs. At first the shut offs while watching TV was a Sony issue, but found out its this sound bar. Also interferes with wireless network sure to wireless connection to subwoofer

Thinking overall review has been positive if you look over online for the thousand of users and those review websites. A few bad apple reviews doesn't change this product is well received and priced well vs competitors

E.g.
Amazon has this 4.4 stars out of 5 with 2900 user reviews. Bestbuy has 4.5 stars out of 5 with 1350 user reviews.

Rtings also have this as one of the higher rated sound bars 7.9 out of 10, which is one of the top soundbar at 8.5 out of 10 but cost a couple hundred dollars more.
PC magazine has it for 4 out of 5 stars. Etc.

Got it back in 2020 for a similar amount due to a deal, and I think it's without any doubt the best Atmos soundbar out there (for the price). It creates a very decent soundsphere (if you place it correctly in the space), can go reasonably loud without distortion, and has been working flawlessly since then without a hint of a problem. The only con is the low configurability, but it's a soundbar after all, so that's fine.

I have to comment as a previous owner that bought this deal a year or two ago. I spent HOURS with tech support trying to get it to work with atmos to no avail. I even sent them pictures of my living room and their response was, "that's an ideal setup" and still the system would never configure correctly. It was a nightmare. I wanted it to work because I LOVE the appeal of the detachables since I have limited space and don't see need for surround most of the time.

I ended up with Samsung bar and it works great (needs to be reset from time to time, though). I would not recommend the JBL bar to anyone unless they are interested in setup nightmares.

I listened to this one at Best Buy when I was looking for a soundbar. I was impressed.
But I ended up with a Bose 900 and a Bose woofer.
Bought the Bose units on Black Friday Special refurbished from Bose. Both are basically new. Paid $700 for the setup which is just amazing.

Bought this on Dec 2020. Amazing sound quality but glitchy est sound bar money can buy. can be super frustrating if you have low patience

I also have this system from the 2020 sale. The main cause of the surround/sub issues is having your WiFi router anywhere near the system, it operates on the same spectrum (I believe 2.4ghz). Moving the sub away from my router solved the issue I was having.
