Never had a problem with Anker products myself, and it's more likely just that people haven't had a lot of interest/purchased it yet. Still, I'm pretty skeptical about anything I'm plugging a $1000+ phone into.
Besides, charging is not rocket science. It's not much different than plugging anything else into the wall apart from having a battery. You are living in 2015 if you're worried about your "$1000+ phone" getting damaged by charging it.

Oh that one does look like a cool form factor especially with its normal outlet plugs.
Have had to contact Anker for any return. I returned 3-4 just last week—all through Amazon.
