All but one of my cameras have slots for microSD local storage. So anytime I have to review footage for that camera, I have to use the Kasa app for that.
Also the Tapo app will not allow you to keep your view on for more than a few minutes. I keep a couple of cheap tablets by my desk when I'm working from home, so I can watch for deliveries in the front and watch my dogs when they're outside. Kasa works fine for that most of the time, but Tapo just stops after 5 minutes and pops up a window asking if you want to continue.
Overall, I like the Kasa and Tapo devices, but the Tapo app is missing some features that the Kasa app has

I have the 320ws too. Yea, the app needs some work, maybe even compression options to make the picture better. The app doesn't want to play a lot.
All tapo ones do. From the way the info in the app reads, it disables the cloud stuff when you enable it. My amcrest nvr picked it right up after i enabled it
I was wondering about the same thing.

That's a risk one will have with any of these cheap wifi cameras. But if you have it in a location where the thief has to cross a path being monitored by the cameras motion detection, then you should get a notification well before they've had a chance to disable the camera. Another option is to buy an outdoor enclosure to mount it in and that will take some effort to open it before they can get to the ad card. I personally prefer to have these cameras indoors. So they're easy to conceal or cant be easily identified . For outdoors, you're better off getting one that stores the data to an NVR or uploads snippets to the cloud.
