The Jackson Hewitt Double Your Refund Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") shall begin at 12:00:01 AM Eastern Time ("ET") on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 and end 11:59:59 PM ET on Monday, April 15, 2024 (such period, the "Sweepstakes Period").

The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia (excluding Puerto Rico, other US territories and possessions, and where prohibited by law), who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry and have filed an IRS tax return for the 2023 tax year during the Sweepstakes Period.

How to Enter the Weekly Sweepstakes Drawings: There are two (2) ways to enter the Weekly Sweepstakes Drawings:
Method #1: Filing Your Tax Return with Jackson Hewitt: see rules
Method #2 Mail-In Entry: To enter without filing your tax return with Jackson Hewitt, you may mail in an entry, with your name, the date on which you filed your Federal IRS tax return, stated as "Federal Tax Return Filed on XX/XX/24" (YOU MUST STATE THE EXACT DATE YOU FILED YOUR TAXES for purposes of identifying eligibility for the applicable Entry Period), complete postal address, email address and phone number, in a #10, business envelope with proper postage to: "Jackson Hewitt Double Your Refund Sweepstakes", PO Box 16470, Rochester, NY 14616. You must also include your Federal Return Filing Date on the envelope stated as: "Federal Tax Return Filed on XX/XX/24" (YOU MUST STATE THE EXACT DATE YOU FILED YOUR TAXES for purposes of identifying eligibility for the applicable Entry Period). Each envelope must be postmarked by the Monday immediately following the date your Federal Tax Return was filed and must be received by the Mail-In Entry Received By Date indicated in the Entry Period chart below, to be eligible for that Entry Period drawing.

How to Enter the Additional Drawing: There are two (2) ways to enter the Additional Drawing:
Method #1: Any person who is entered into one of the Weekly Sweepstakes Drawings will automatically receive one (1) entry into the Additional Drawing noted in the Entry Period Chart below.
Method #2: Completing the online entry form. Any person who completes the Additional Drawing entry form at jacksonhewitt.com within the Sweepstakes Period will receive one (1) entry into the Additional Drawing.

Limit: One (1) entry per person in a drawing period, regardless of the method of entry.

Grand Prize: Thirty-two (32) Grand Prizes are intended to be awarded as follows: For each of the Fifteen (15) Weekly Entry Periods and One (1) Additional Entry Period, there will be two (2) Grand Prize winners, for a total of thirty-two (32) Grand Prize winners. Each Grand Prize winner will receive an amount matching their Federal Tax Refund up to $10,000, subject to verification, but in no event less than $1,500. All Grand Prizes will be issued in the form of a check. Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of each Grand Prize: $1,500 minimum to $10,000 maximum.
Runner Up Prize: Three hundred and twenty (320) Runner Up Prizes are intended to be awarded as follows: For each of the Fifteen (15) Weekly Entry Periods and One (1) Additional Entry Period, there will be twenty (20) Runner Up Prize winners, for a total of three-hundred and twenty (320) Runner Up Prize winners. Each Runner Up Prize winner will receive $200 to be issued in the form of a check. ARV of each Runner Up Prize: $200 each.

no way I can get my taxes completely filed in 1st few weeks, but for those who can... you'd have pretty good odds for weeks 1 through 4.

Folks if you are planning right you will never get a refund but instead owe a few dollars.

It says no less than $1,500. So I'd guess that anyone who owes, has no refund or a refund less than that threshold would get the $1,500 minimum. Not sure if I'll enter. I'm typically not ready to file until mid-march.
