Crappy thermostat on them. I own two. Comes on an off whenever it thinks it's the right temp and it's wrong.

Can't recommend this item
Every electric space heater no matter the size is limited to 1500w. The joke on most people is that a 8 inch 1500w space heater puts out the very same heat as a 8 foot 1500w space heater. People only think the larger ones heat better... they do not. Now some might "distribute" the heat better via fans but 1500w put out 1500w worth of heat no matter the size.
Is this the one that can be linked to Govee thermometers? Those are pretty accurate and would help out with the inaccurate thermostat.

Below is the sound comparison between the Costco Lasko tower heater and the Govee Smart heater H7131:

* Lasko is quiet and has a lower pitch (48dB from 3 feet),
* Govee is slightly higher pitched with 57dB (from 3 feet) on high and around 52dB on low.

The temperature readings on both machines are on par with the room temperature, given time to settle. The difference comes from the internal temperature measurement of the heater. Thus, an external thermometer like H5104 (confirmed working) makes it much more stable.

I do wish I could choose to use the low fan setting in auto mode (that should be possible with software updates). I also intend to link a switch to turn it on and off with a click (like a remote), instead of opening the app all the time.

These conveniences make Lasko less attractive to me.
Excellent comparison and stats! I don't think it'll work with a switch as it'll always default to off when power-cycled, unless you mean something else.

Some more stats...

Power usage as measured with a Kill-A-Watt:

Fan-only 4W
Oscillation adds 3W
Light adds 2W

Mode I 1000W
Mode II 1300W
Mode III 1500W (I have 2, and the other one only reaches 1450W)

By the way, what app do you like best for sound measurements?

Sound Meter (Splend Apps) works decently on Pixel 6a. I did not check with a reference but seems correct, good for comparisons. A better one would be that does a spectrum analyzer.

I also got a vibration sensor and a door/window sensor to experiment with from them. They do connect with the heater, and I can turn it on/off with their actions. These have much more potential, but the app functions are limited
