I'd be happy with just cheaper
Every SD thread on the Thermaltake GF3 has folks mention that it's an A-tier PSU. But one needs to remember that the tier lists are formed based on professional reviews, where the reviewers can only test performance, but not reliability. This PSU's performance might be very good, but the customer reviews are dismal. Too many people complaining that it died after a few months or weeks. And it's not just a small percentage of people. Moreover, it's not the typical bad PSU reviews of high fan noise, or power spikes etc. All those reviews mention that the GPU just straight up dies. The number of people on every review site complaining about the same thing shows that this PSU clearly has quality control issues.
I don't care how good their warranty is, or how good their customer service is. The fact that so many people are complaining, means it's not worth the risk -- A-tier or not. Not having to deal with customer service is even better than getting good customer service
Personally, I went the 1000W Deepcool PX1000G. It's $150 on Amazon and $140 on Newegg. Decent price for a 1000W and it's speculative A-Tier (whatever that means). Not that many reviews as the Thermaltake, but at least the ones that are there are decent enough. Also, I liked the fact that they exchanged one SATA port with a PCIe port; it has 5 PCIe ports and only 3 SATA ports apart from the 12VHPWR port (most PSU's in that class have 4 PCIe and 4 SATA). Nowadays, folks need more PCIe ports. Plus SATA ports are so easy to daisy-chain. I would rather have an extra PCIe port considering some larger cards need 3 PCIe.

Where's this A list?
I got that MSI ACE board an i9, a case and memory so far.
I do 3D rendering, Unreal Engine work and gaming so I really have my PC blasting on all cylinders a lot.
