Not sure why this is more expensive in USA.
This one went on Amazon Canada sale for $23 CAN.
This should be $17-$18 US mark.

18" was on sale for $15 shipped from Woot a while back. Definitely a great product though, nice for lesser snows 1-2" for when the snowblower's not needed. The springloaded handle makes it a quicker, easier task.

I can only speak for myself, but i got the 18" one last year, and it's good for probably up to 6 inches, but it is of questionable quality. The handle is secured to the shaft with a cotter pin and while shoveling it just popped off. Good luck finding that in the snow. Their customer service was great and sent me a whole new shovel because they didn't keep the cotter pin in stock. Anyways i just drilled out the hole and bolted the handle on so now I got two of these.

Got that one via Slickdeals. Bought in hopes it wouldn't be a bad winter just north of NYC. Getting a storm this weekend but it looks like mostly rain.

I have the 18" and the 20". I like the 18" better because the plastic (or whatever it is) blade edge on the 18" slides smoother across pavement compared to the folded aluminum (or whatever) blade edge on the 20". That said, they're both awesome and I recommend them both.

Oh I guess I should clarify--by 18" I mean the clear plastic one that was on woot.

If you're healthy/strong enough, get this bad boi, a 48" push shovel - $80
https://www.amazon.com/SNOWPLOW-5...140&sr=8-1

Or a 60" two handed push shovel - $116
https://www.walmart.com/ip/MANPLO...87&veh=sem

But anything more than 2" of snow you're almost totally screwed depending on the type of snow lol..

I got one of these a couple winters back. Tempted to grab another. Not sure how long they will hold up but I appreciate less strain on my back. Had back surgery in my mid 30s and this makes one of those strenuous activities a little easier on the back

Works great and better than hard metal on concrete due to not scrapping every inch and hitting every uneven seam in concrete joints

Water gets into the shaft between the shovel and the handle part so it tends to rust it hold water
