Not eligible with Simple Choice, as others said. I don't mind because I already have the $1 / month Hulu with ads subscription and I only pay $86 per month for 5 lines. Not upgrading for a long time even if I "miss out" on some of these extras.

I don't watch much TV these days

T-Mobile is still offering the lowest tier plan for free. The plan changes are on Netflix.

Starting today Jan/24/2024, tmobile customers get hulu with Ads for 1 year free.
Existing customers can redeem at https://promotions.t-mobile.com/huluonus
BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY...

Those T-mobile customers who had it will LOSE ad-free Netflix. Mad
I got a message touting the added "benefit" of a free year of ad-supported hulu (just one year) when they announced the Netflix service cut.
It also stated customers could pay the difference to get commercial-free Netflix, but I could not find any obvious way to do so (link for more info was initially broken).

The real title of this post should be, "T-Mobile takes away Netflix Standard, replaces it with a $0.99/month streaming service".
I hate the way these GD companies can just change anything they want at a whim.

Netflix Basic: If you had "Basic," you are being downgraded to Netflix "Standard with ads." You won't pay (it's still free), but you will now get advertisements in your streams.
Netflix Standard: If you had "Standard," T-Mobile is applying the $6.99 "with ads" price, leaving you with a bill of $8.50 per month. I believe you were previously paying $6.50 per month, so that's a $2 increase.
Netflix Premium: For "Premium" subscribers, the same applies and you are likely paying $16/mo now instead of $11/mo.

I understand this perspective but I think it's also important to understand that Netflix raised prices for T-Mobile and us. And I don't know about you but my T-Mobile plan has never increased in cost.
I'd rather t-mobile NOT provide any added services and just use the savings to lower prices.

Too many services, not enough time. I'd much prefer Disney+ but those deals appear to be gone.

Is there an option to upgrade to the ad-free or the bundle? I know I can upgrade netflix to Ultra/4k plan for few more bucks

I have had hulu with ads for free for years thru Sprint. I find it unwatchable as the ads are so LOUD and frequent. It's so bad that I pay for Hulu without ads. But if u can tolerate the ads, free is free.

My Netflix contribution from TMO went from $15.49 down to $7.99. I believe the no ads is not increasing by Netflix. So no my TMO didn't increase, but my TMO + nefflix no ads went up by $8.50, and none of that is due to Netflix raising prices. I signed up for Go5G+ a month ago, and that was part of the equation.

They just basically killed price protection last week . .for New signups and plan changes. For those they will just waive the last bill if you get pissed from raised rates and leave.

I got away from cable TV because everyone was too greedy wanting big bucks for channels with ads. Hulu with ads offer is worth zero to me if the "free Hulu" doesn't discount any combos like Disney+ ESPN+, then what percentage of people are actually finding any value with this new offering? Especially if you were on SD at all over the holidays. . .the $1 and $2 Hulu was hard to miss, and many people already bought that for the year.

T-Mobile boasts about their rates will NEVER go up and this is true. However, if you want to take advantage of a promotion for a free or discounted phone you have to be on their latest plan which is more expensive. And this is also applies to this Hulu promo. In effect, they screw you indirectly!!!!!

The message I got from T-Mobile, is our Netflix will be with ads. However Netflix will allow 2 tv's to be logged on simultaneously and the resolution will be ap 1080 vs 720.
