Now this is where high end GPUs should be priced. Got this card almost a year ago for about $1100 and have been very happy with 4k performance. Almost tempted to buy another for the second PC at this price...

A 4090 is 10-30% faster in rasterized performance (above 1080p) depending on the game; you might be thinking about the 4080. There are a few outliers but the 4090 is almost always much faster, although it's never an extra $1200 faster unless you only want to play CP 2077 with path tracing on or Alan Wake 2 at max settings.

Ordered this. Amazing deal, don't think we'll see this cheaper for a while even when the supers come out. Something to keep in mind, this is a big GPU

This is a really good deal if you're looking for a high end gpu for high refresh rate 4k gaming and raytracing isn't your top priority. The best price ever previously was $830, and at $800 this blows every other high end gpu out of the water in terms of cost per frame. Also, the 7900xtx has official rocm + pytorch support and 24gb of vram, so it'll be great for any ai work that isn't only optimized for cuda. Good card but with 3 monitors (probably my fault to some extent) 1 being a gsync Alienware and 2 freesync different monitors, I have some small lags when watching content in full screen and moving the mouse cursor from screen to screen. I think it happens because not all 3 monitors use the same sync/free sync especially since this is an AMD card?
Had this since end of 2021 and overall happy with, upgrades from a 2080ti.

I have had this card for about a year now, no issues with drivers, nothing but raw performance and cool thermals. I used to be Nvidia only, but I have had a few Radeon cards, after my experience with this card I don't know if I will go back to Nvidia right away, this card is a BEAST. Oh and full disclaimer, I never use ray tracing, doesn't matter to me, but if it does matter to you, then Nvidia is the only way forward.

Yeah that is fine, I have a superflower 850w and it works fine. Though make sure it's at least a gold rated PSU

I run a RX7900XTX off a V850 SFX PSU. I've had no power problems. A quality 850w is going to be fine.

The real question is what will the pricing be for the new Super cards? That will dictate a lot of 20/20 hindsight on this deal and the GameStop rtx 4080 from last month.

I doubt the upcoming pricing will be as good as the "$999 4080 Super" rumors on websites (which says a lot about desperate overpaying pc gamers, since Nvidia still makes huge margins at that price). But maybe something like a $599 rtx 4070 with 16 GB of vram would be enough to satisfy the market.

Damn, this is tempting. I have a 6800xt and play at 1440p ultrawide. The extra horse power and better RT performance would be nice.
