AirPods Pro 1 released in October
AirPods Pro 2 released in Sept
AirPods Pro 3 ???
Same here, had to check. Ordered 11/30. Damn. $199 with AppleCare is still well worth it for these. Huge fan of the Pros for most day to day stuff
Apple Care is tied/activated to the serial number of the AirPods by Apple.
I paired it with my daughter's iPad to complete the setup, customized it to my liking, updated the firmware, and then paired it with my S23 ultra. All features work.
Because you are abusing Costco's return policy
Costco is a great company and you are hurting them
I don't think it's a ripoff, but I think the most I spent on earbuds was $40 prior to buying these. The Airpods Pro have great sound that you can customize, and have spacial sound (3d) that you can have track your head movement so sound seems like it's coming from your phone, tv, or computer - turn your head, the sound gets louder in the ear toward the phone (probably more going on with the signal, but that's the best I can describe it).
They have your standard noise cancelling and transparency modes, but I really like the adaptive sound setting, which is a hybrid noise cancelling and transparency mode. There is also a setting where you can have it turn down the sound automatically if you're talking to someone (I find it distracting if I sing). I'm not a fan of the transparency mode because it amplifies everything, but thankfully I can limit the sound to a more comfortable level (I have it set to 80dB).
I probably won't convince someone to buy them, but I'm a believer and don't regret buying them. I did get some different tips from Spiegel that are foam tips covered in silicone, which seem to stay in my ears a bit better than the tips from Apple. That was probably my main concern, otherwise I highly recommend them.

3rd gen are way overpriced, maybe a pro 3 is coming out in march
Boom.
See how easy it is to be helpful?
Did you actually read the cons for the AirPods?
Per the review
Negatives:
Charges via Lightning cable
-ummm… This is USB C
Many Apple-exclusive features
-and?… They're an Apple product… but you can still use with other devices
No way to customize the EQ without third-party app
-huh? Did they even try? If you don't know how to adjust the eq, Google and Reddit are your friends
Their top rated Sony WF-1000XM5 are $289… These are $189 with Apple Care +… the comparison review between the Sonys and AirPods don't really tell you that the Sonys are better… with the non-con issues of the AirPods… It looks to me the from what I read that the AirPods sound better and fit better.
Also, read the fine print at the top of the review site.
I'm not bashing the Sonys. They are VERY popular. So are the AirPods. Look at the majority of high school and college kids… the ratio of kids with AirPods to anything else is quite remarkable. I know… I have 3 kids
Yes, picked this in store yesterday for the same price - $189.99 + tax
Depends on your area. My Costco will deliver same day with Instacart. It's $202 before tax… $224 with tax and fees here in NorCal… this all BEFORE tip. If you think you can skimp on the tip, I suggest watching some Social Media posts from like X (formerly Twitter) and others regarding this about delivery drivers for Instacart, DoorDash, etc…
