These comments are nuts. Telling people on the Slickdeals website who are looking for deals to wait for the new models that come out in the next few months that will most likely near double the price. Makes no sense.

Same thought. I'd be all over this if it had usb-c with power delivery.

Supposedly second gen of these monitors suppose to be quite a step up. Should only be a few months away

Yup that's why these monitors have been getting one last discount, before they become 'outdated'

Only going to really be a higher refresh rate on the new OLED. This has 165 that's good enough for me.

Yeah I personally don't really care about anything above 120, I'd rather limit to 120 and be able to leave a graphics setting at a better option.

It'll also probably be a decent bit more expensive at launch. This monitor has one of the best OLED panels on the market

Now is not the time to buy one. These have been hovering at this price for months at BB. They are just too compromised for the price. Text looks terrible, inputs are buggy, gloss looks bad in lots of lighting. CES is next week and should show the gen 2 which should fix most issues. I bought a $25 crappy 27" on craigs to hold me over till gen2 comes out as my 34" nano ips just died.
I own this. I would say the form factor isn't the best for purely office use, but none of the rest of what you said is accurate in my experience. It's been great for my work related usage and it beats the pants off of the G7/G8 I had before it for image quality.

If you're at all serious about gaming, you can't beat this right now. I got in a little cheaper, but it's a fine buy here.

My one complaint is if you will be adjusting it a lot, both the screen and housing are fingerprint magnets.
