A lot of people end up modding these Arcade1ups anyway, so you might as well start with the real thing rather than a small toy.

I have this cabinet and did the upgrade. It only fixes the issue from one viewing angle, which you can see at the end of the youtube video. My advice is to look for another Pacman cabinet. This one is not worth the aggravation.
I bought a few of these when they first started making them and they were questionable in quality in some places but still worked great. They quickly became much higher quality with better artwork and components, but then also the prices started to really rise.
For $300, I don't doubt for one second that this is a well made fun machine, totally worth that asking price. For $500, 600 or 700 that some of these machines were going for - that's way too much.
I feel like these are best if you're willing to get a variety of them. These are at their best when they're stacked next to each other, and you have people playing different games, playing side by side. At least that's been my experience the last few years.
If you don't have that kind of space or $$$, you may be better off looking at an AtGames Legends Ultimate. They are easily modded with a thumb drive, and give you a way better variety of games if you sauce it up.
All of these options used to be super cheap. You could find the ALU for less than $300. I got my Arcade1ups on clearance from anywhere from $70-$140. That's no longer the case. I haven't seen deals like those in years.
If you're on a budget and don't want to build something, but still want a fun gaming experience, you can always get an AtGames Legends Mini for less than $100. You can get a pedestal for it for about $100. Hang a TV on the wall or on a pedestal and put it in Portrait / Vertical mode. You haven't lived until you've played 1942 and Donkey Kong with the screen tall, just like the arcades. Super fun, relatively inexpensive, and doesn't take up a lot of space.
