Steam adjusts the cost based on the games you already own. So if you already owned xcom and xcom 2, it would only charge you for the xcom 2 expansion and chimera

I started XCOM2 a couple days ago. I've never played this style of game before. Its fun, but its hard as heck for me, even on easiest. Hopefully just a learning curve.

2 tremendously fun games and many, many hours of gaming entertainment for the price of a burger.

Assuming you get all the DLC for other two, I would personally pass on Chimera Squad. I don't think it's even worth 3 bucks. But a cheap add for completionists Smilie

Xcom enemy unknown was so different from everything I played at the time it just blew me away. I loved it.

And then the sequel came out and upped the ante in every way. I have yet to play the DLC though. I just haven't had a chance to get back to it.

But what the hell went wrong with Chimera Squad? I didn't even know this existed until now. Looks like it was badly handled.

I still have a fondness for the OG XCOM games. I've played a little of these and they seem good, but I wish the modernization was more like the original games.

Wait a second... my price is showing $6.75 for the XCOM: ULTIMATE COLLECTION.

Did it change? Am I seeing things? I ended up buying it because that is a hell of a deal.

I've bought this game more times than I've ever played it. I think I own it on Epic (or Amazon), Steam, and Xbox Marketplace.

There has been better prices for xcom 2 collection before. I know you don't have a time machine, but if you've waited almost 10 years to play it, then you can set a deal alert and wait for it to hit the <$7 price point it's been at before.

That having been said, it's a great series and worth paying $15 for.

Xcom2 is a little too easy on the lower setting and then brutally difficult on the normal or higher settings.

Years ago I tried playing it on Playstation 4 at normal difficulty and just kept failing at it or getting stuck. Constantly had to save-scum just to make any sort of progress. Restarted the game twice. I later started it back up again on PC with the DLC added, used a lower difficulty setting and made sure to use a robot character that is available in the DLC and that made all the difference. A little too easy for me, but way more enjoyable. Good luck.

I really hope Firaxis is working on XCOM 3... it's been almost 8 years since they originally released XCOM 2. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Crazy idea, but maybe you shouldn't buy it on multiple platforms unless you are going to actually play it a lot?

I've bought Diablo 3 like 5 times, but I've sunk thousands of hours into it lol.
