Dang... Wish this were 6 ft. 5 ft doesn't rack on most standard power racks

Pretty certain this is called a "lady's bar," or a training bar or something like that. I think it weighs 35lbs and is intended for reduced weight clean & jerks / deadlifts / etc. These are somewhat hard to find, but for most people, not entirely functional.

FWIW, I got one for free from a neighbor throwing it out & have yet to use it. It's been sitting in my rack unused for 2 years now...

might be obvious, but one thing to note with the non standard lengths (eg: 7ft), the ends where the plates attach are shorter. this became problematic for me as I purchased a 6ft a few years ago and progressed since then, but I started off with more smaller plates (eg: 10lbs), and now running out of space on the ends. not a big deal since it means I progressed and have to get the larger 35/45s, but obviously that's cost to consider over time.

additionally, certain attachments, like end handles for landmine rows often attach to the end, and with a smaller amount of length for plates, I'm limited to 3-4 smaller 10lb plates, although there are workarounds.

just some things to consider, but if you're starting out, the main thing to consider is if it'll rack properly with your setup, or if you're limited by space constraints.
