I SWEAR I am not one of those nanny people that calls for banning stuff. But these seem like an absolutely terrible idea.

Small children can eat them requiring lifesaving medical intervention. Ok, so be safe when using them and don't leave kids unsupervised, great idea. So... let's just fire these things all around the house? Now a visiting child or animal can find them days later in the corner behind the door or under the couch?

Or if you think using them outside would be better... Animals can eat them, or they could end up in the sewer drain and that's no great shakes either.

I drink, I eat meat, and I make plenty of questionable life choices but the existence of these seems absolutely nutty. Especially when people are trying to get the beads banned in the first place. Very big downside for such low upside. I hope I'm wrong and these are some kind of 2024 water beads that aren't dangerous.
I fully realize you're just the messenger, but polymers of this nature simply won't "volatilize" - that's laughable. There will absolutely be bits of this left around (which will degrade over time - timescale unknown).
I'm genuinely curious, as I live in an area where I can't leave little beads lying everywhere...

what happens to these once they are shot and hit the ground? Do they somehow disintegrate? I'd hate to have hundreds of these little buggers all over my complex...

I bought these quite a while back. They operate just fine, impressive actually. Other threads have mentioned how these things are being discontinued everywhere.

These gel beads are bio-degradable and should not be used by small children.

This is the description of a generic gel beads:
"These water beads are made of polymer material, which is safe, 100% biodegradable, non-flammable, and durable for long time use.The gel beads will grow to stable 9-11mm in diameter after soaking in water for 4 hours, which are perfect for gel toy blaster. When it shatters, the water balls will slowly volatilize, do not cause pollution or any kind of harms to health and environment. Can be used as decorative accessories for home, we suggest placing the beads in a sensory box, glass vase, jar or transparent container, which will improve the aesthetics of your indoor and outdoor decorations."

They dry up eventually and get very tiny. Maybe 1/4th the size of a grain of rice.

I love the idea of this blaster but it's not worth the risk. The water beads are a safety hazard for kids. The water beads are bio-degradable but degradation happens over time. I wouldn't want to risk the safety of my own kids or those of visiting family/friends over a toy.
