Solid deal but this model doesn't have music storage that is listed in the specs section. I believe it's wrong/misleading on Garmins janky website as well.

I found the music storage feature to be terrible.
The apps are clunky. Not sure how others have liked them.

That's a shame. I love my current Garmin, looking for a new one, but music storage is the one feature I want that i don't have. Don't want to go with an Apple Watch with its crap battery.

I used it on the vivoactive 3 music. But I moved to the Fenix 6 and never missed it. Prior I never took my phone with me but I changed that to take advantage of the safety and tracking features.
I do control the phone tracks with the watch.

Not sure what model you have but it works just fine on my Fenix 7 Pro. I guess having a touchscreen also helps too.

Been using since getting my 645m. Seems good enough for me for runs, but wouldn't use it otherwise. But that's really all I need it for. Don't like carrying a phone with me on a run.

When you think about it you have to take your cellphone with you everywhere anyway (for safety if anything happens with you or your significant others), and headsets usually allow you to listen to music with your phone far away, enough for any gym setting... It is a pretty pointless feature tbh

I've got the 5X. The onboard music interface with Amazon Music is crap. I can't speak with personal knowledge about the interface with Spotify, but I understand it's much better than Amazon. The 5x allows you to put raw mp3's onto the watch and listen with BT earbuds/headphones (no phone required). I'm unsure if the 6 allows this but think it's the best way to have some running music and free yourself from your phone. (And, BTW, if I wind up dead in a ditch on the side of the road whilst on a run, I don't care if my family gets notified within minutes after it happens or several days later: dead's dead. So to hell with the tracking feature.)

The maps, though, I've gotta say I'd miss this feature if it wasn't on my watch. Yes, it's a bit of a toy, but I get serious use out of it a few times a year.

I actually found the music feature usable and good enough to replace the phone which, if you don't have an iPhone, is just as clunky.
