IMO, I've owned both this and the Hart 8 Gallon 6 Peak shop vac. If you're in no rush for a shop vac, the Hart one often drops to $49.99 and is more powerful. I actually sold this one recently and only use the Hart one now. Just wanted to toss out my opinion if anyone is looking for a more powerful vac.

In for one, thanks OP. I have 3 ridgids, 2 of them died on me after years of use and can't find receipts to replace them. Hope this will survive that long.

Best thing with ridgid's, lifetime exchange warranty at Home Depot.

If you have an account on the Home Depot site, you may be able to check your purchase history.. or ask customer service in store.

I bet it will survive a fire. What about rain/water? That is what I am curious about. Going to be used for my shop to vacuum cars.

Make sure to leave it inside your car when not in use . You might get a new car . Way better than a replacement vacuum from rigid

Had one for a while, until it started blowing breakers immediately when plugged in. Really didn't want to lose it so I took it apart but was unable to find anything wrong. I never vacuumed anything wet with it so I wouldn't count on it for anything wet. Replaced with the Costco porter cable. If you don't need it now I would wait for the Hart to go on sale like the other poster recommended

Are you sure you need a receipt for the warranty?

I have a shop vac that stopped working. I took it apart and it was a fuse inside. You can't buy them and the manufacturer won't sell it either. It's not like anything I have seen as it's just a piece of thin metal. I made a replacement from a car fuse, think I used a 10amp not sure. Works great now.
