Not a bad deal if someone happens to need both of these tools and doesn't want to mess with hackable deals. Otherwise one could get each of these tools cheaper using a hackable deal like this:

Either the trimmer or blower are about $92/each after the hack. Combine the trimmer ($92), blower ($92), and the batteries ($87) from the above deal for an improved version of this combo for $271.

Hack the trimmer to the two battery deal and it'll be sub $100. Same can so be done to the blower.

Thanks. Don't know why I didn't think of that.

Can anyone here comment on the trimmer? Is it a worthwhile purchase for general grass lawn trimming?

Picked this up $159 in store. Trimmer is great, blower leaves much to be desired. Blower has low ouput unless you run it on turbo, but then it only runs about 15 min. But for the price I paid, I'm overall pleased with it.

Agreed. I got the blower for my dad to clean up his little shop and odd jobs around the house and it works well for that, but it isn't very useful for yard work.

I have one of the 40V ryobi blowers from a previous slick deal and have been very happy with it. DTO runs deals all the time for kits with a battery. Sucks to have a different battery system but I prefer the 40v for outdoor stuff.

Probabably going to buy the string trimmer/battery deal and get rid of my dewalt trimmer (also a slick deal - curse you slickdeals) to get back to two battery systems.

Bummer, I was going to invert this deal for the blower only, and indeed, I already ordered it and it will be here at the start of next week. But if you say the blower is not good for yard work, well, that stinks because it was going to be my main use case.
