This game is amazing. It has a very very slow start which I made me almost quit. I kept going with it and it turned out to be one of my favorite games. For less than $10 you are getting 80+ hours of gameplay.

The trails series has chapters and several parts, almost each game is around 50-100 hours long so you are getting bang for your buck, sky is the first part with FC(First chapter), SC(Second chapter), and 3rd(3rd Chapter). Theres also Zero/Azure, Cold steel 1-4/Reverie, and soon Darkness and End. If you like really good music and story, definately check out the trails series, as well as Ys by falcom too

This is an amazing game, but just understand that it is part 1 of a story. You will need to play both the first chapter (this game) and the second chapter to get the full story. The 3rd game is somewhat seperate

Easily one of the best games I have ever played, great story, gameplay is intuitive but very expansive, FC and SC are both worth full price; 3rd was meh IMO.

I discovered the "Trails" series a little while ago. There are a ton of games in the series, so I thought maybe this would be something fun to get into and discover. I bought this same game to begin.

This is just my own personal opinion of course, but I found the writing/incessant dialogue to be absolutely excruciating. Literally, any time the party was about to go somewhere, they all have to reiterate the situation like 50 times. "Repetitive" is not nearly a strong enough word. Going somewhere? Grab a Snickers, because by the time these kids quit talking about leaving, you'll be hungry, tired, and no longer yourself. You just won't care anymore. I kept on trying to see if I could make myself push past it, and I could not, for it was simply too much to bear.

I know a lot of people like the series, so to each their own, but just because you love (old school) Final Fantasy, Tales of, or other JRPG's, don't think you will automatically like this, because you might really not.

Best RPG series, if nothing else for story. Literally Trails in the sky, Trails of cold steel, Tales to Azure and Tales to Reverie is one huge story.

It's the MCU in game form done right.

2nd game wraps up the protagonists' arc. 3rd game completes the Trails in the Sky arc. Worth it if you end up loving the characters and you might want to find out the past, present and future of some of them. It also introduces you into a much larger plot point that happens in Trails from Zero, Azure, Dawnbreak 1 and 2. It ended up being a really big point.

I wish the dev would port this to Switch. I have a copy on Steam but I find it harder to sit at a PC to play nowadays, and to add insult to injury, this can't be played on Steam Deck, or at least last I checked.

Have you tried SteamLink for your phone? It works great for something like this.

I bought most of the games.. and yet I couldn't even finish FC. I wanted to but life happened and didn't play for 3 months. Now I don't really remember the story or know even what I'm suppose to do next. If you do play this, make sure your schedule fits. I might just replay from the beginning... really hope remaster/remake with some qualify of life improvements.

i heard it's because of the nightmare-ish work that went behind localizing the Sky games. i finally caved in for SC at $19.49 during the winter sale because that thing would just not go any lower
