It's not that is a junk console. (Although it is 7 years old and not hi-spec to begin with) Its that it is HIGHLY anticipated that there will be the next console announced in the next month or two. So stores might be trying to clear out the original and OLED Switch with sales before the official announcement comes out. Especially since a price drop on the current consoles is speculated to come with it.

As far as the deal goes, I would be willing to wait a month or two to see if there is a price drop for the current models instead of buying today.

Yes, I heard it will be a rehash as well. Nothing majorly new. Rumors also say that the OLED will not be on the new Nintendo console, rather they will move back to LCD to have better battery life to handle newer and beefier games

Oled screens use less battery than LCD screens. That makes zero sense. If the unsubstantiated rumor is true, it'd be purely a cost-saving measure and not for battery life.

Go to sameday.costco.com, enter your desired warehouse's address for the delivery address and search one of the item numbers to check stock, price will be ~$13 higher than above prices if that warehouse has stock

I thought there was a caveat, but apparently, the OLED version will last the same or longer on a charge compared to every other Switch, even with the same battery capacity. OLED has better contrast, so the brightness can be lower than LCD.
