Frank's red hit mixed with butter is the best wing sauce.
I discovered Aldi house brand is pretty close as well.

I just finished a jug that was close to a year expired (regular franks).
No issues. (this stuff has a lot of vinegar so acidity keeps it pretty shelf stable)
Other variations may differ but regular hot sauce would have a tough time growing bacteria etc.

there are a ton of simple and good recipes to use it in. I made chicken wing dip for the first time two weeks ago (recipe is on the bottle, I just added more cheese) and it was a hit - and I live in Buffalo Smilie with the super bowl coming up make some dip and bring it places, people will love it!

You can do that with just about any hot sauce. Butter and sriracha simmered with scallions, ginger, and garlic has to be way up there.
